I bought a nail polish unknowing that i needed a UV or LED light. Will a fluorescent light do the same thing? Or a black light?

Most brands of nail polish that require UV needs the light to be at a wavelength of 365nm. Ordinary fluorescent lights don't work. An ordinary cheap black light should, as long as it's bright enough. The kind you need is known in the lighting industry as blacklight blue. Nail curing systems usually have four 9-watt tubes for a total of 36 watts. Because the bulbs are compact, the light is concentrated where it's needed. For this reason, you may have a hard time getting enough UV light concentrated on your nails. If you look online, you'll see that UV nail-curing systems are not that expensive (about $30). As for LEDs, they have them at 365nm, but they are expensive, starting at about $10 for one LED. Direct sunlight would probably do it.
