I have 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. The stereo that is in the Jeep is the factory 6 disk MP3 player. I want to replace the radio and put in a nice radio with the ability to play my iPod music through it. I plan on buying the radio on OKorder most likely. My question is is the wiring harness that is already installed in the Jeep that goes to the factory radio will probably not fit the new radio Do I have to buy some sort of adapter or something of the sorts to make this work?
sure get a battery charger to your vehicle in case you have on obtainable take the yellow an purple twine an splice them at the same time an connect with valuable charger clamp an take the black twine from radio an connect with unfavorable clamp an turn radio on an see if it comes on. as a procedures because of the fact the speaker channels in case you have a speaker someplace which im particular you do, on an identical time as the radio is related to battery charger in simple terms connect the speaker to each and each radio channel an see if it performs. thats what i do, least complicated way i will think of of without taking it to a installation place an haveing them try it .
There are wiring harnesses that will connect most brands of radios to most cars. Crutchfield has build an entire business out of matching up cars to radios with the right harness. I would check their website. You'll probably find a good deal on your radio there as well.
