A composite resin veneer is like a porcelain veneer but a tooth shaded bonded composite filling material is formed, hardened, shaped, and then polished over the tooth . It is done in one appointment and is about 1/3 the cost of porcelain veneers. However they lack the strength and resistance to staining that porcelain does. So the result is that their life expectancy is not as long and they will have to be re done more often.
