I remember hearing somewhere that solar panels may attract light rays away from plants thus having a potentially negative effect on the plants. I can't remember where I heard it but I'm curious if there is any truth to it.
Solar panels only intercept the light that hits them - they can't attract light rays. So, if you had your panels mounted on the ground, the area in shadow behind the panel would receive less light, making it more difficult for some plants to grow there. This would only be a problem if we start seeing massive solar farms appearing. They could potentially displace farmland or natural habitats in some of the sunny areas of the world. A panel on a roof, however, would only stop light hitting your roof tiles - no great loss!
solar panels don't literary attract light but when the light hits it it turns into stored energy planets dont give of heat or ray if u mean stars like the sun yes. it doesn't have anything to do with planets its star noble gases that stuff u can steal light it just gets it other than wasting it solar panels are better than those factory thingys
if that were true, then anything that absorbs the suns rays do the same thing. Doesn't make any sense to me.
not so. the sun shines on the earth and everything on it. the solar panels are on the earth like on top of your house maybe.if they were not sitting on top of your house , the sun would still be shining on your roof. it makes no sense to say they were drawing light away from other plainest when the sun would still shine on the place where they are if they were not there.
