Question:

do the boiler room need forced Ventilation?

I have a boiler room in my factory, and I need to know if this room need forced or natural ventilation as the supplier says that the windows of the room are enough for the ventilation process. should I force him to add a fan in this room.

Answer:

When the boiler contractor is finished and has his money, he will be gone and you will still be there with his boiler in your factory and with your employees. If you have a concern for your employees that is good and your employees need to understand that. So I recommend that you have a ventilation professional make an evaluation for you and for them while you still have some control over what is to be accomplished and how. A visit to one of the previous boiler installations might be useful.
Every boiler needs an exhaust stack and forced negative ventilation of the boiler room. Gasses can build up and cause an explosion if the atmosphere of the boiler room is not vented to the atmosphere besides killing you before the gasses ignited. Common sense?
If the manufacturer says that the ventilation is OK then you probably don't need it - they are the experts, however as a customer and if you want it then any reasonable company would offer to sell you the ventilation as an extra.. It is tricky to say without knowing the boiler room and how it works whether you need forced ventilation. Often a chimney or flue will provide the 'force' for natural ventilation but not in every case
