I have a 1994 Chevy Cavalier that over heated to 260 and shut itself off! It has fuel, fire, and compression and yet the thing wont start! So other than the timing, I believe the P.O.SAluminum head is warped! So I'm curious to know if they have a replacement head for it, that isn't aluminum? The motor is a 2.2 liter 4 cylinder.
NO! If you put metal in the microwave it could cause serious harm to your microwaveAnd possibly to you if your microwave explodes.
Just do it and see what happensWhat will happen is that the metal will act as a lightening rod and draw the electromagnetic energy to itself in a large sparkEventually, it will wreck the microwave ovenIf you have about $80 to spend on the experiment, it might be kind of fun to do.
I don't ever put metal in the microwaveBut my dad already put a tieband w/ metal in there without thinking and it didn't hurt itSparks didn't even fly, I never tried a spoon or fork though! I had a gold trimmed plate and that really gets hot though!!!
Now how is it that the aluminum head is a POS?? Why did the engine overheat to the extent it shut itself down and how did it get to that point? Given the severity of the overheat, you're probably looking at some severe internal damage to bearings and cylinder walls and possibly a warped block .which is made of cast ironAnd even if the head was made of cast iron, chances are it would have warped alsoNo, there are no aftermarket iron heads for a '94 CavalierYou'd be better off finding a like motor in a salvage yard and swapping it in.
