We are new to the camping scene and were wondering if there are any good suggestions for us, ex: places to camp, things to bring, how to avoid a terrible experience.
We went camping for the first time this year as wellMy tips - 1Just try out 1 night at first - it will be easier to handle2Take plenty of warm blankets - nights outdoors can be cold! 3Make a camping list and pass it around to friends who have done it to review - they may add tips, suggestions 4Going out with another family helps - you can do dinner and they do breakfast - that way it is easier on you and more fun as wellSome items from my list - tarp, tent, camping chairs, sleeping bagsblankets, bug repellant, first aid kit, flashlight, propane stove, match sticks, saucepan, frying pan, firewood, lighter fluid, dish soap, scrubber, paper plates and cutlery, cups, bowls, napkins, paper towels, aluminium foil, clingwrap, knives, chopping board, trash bags, toilet paper, BBQ tools, kettle, serving spoons, ladles, sunscreen, towels, baby wipes (which are useful for almost everything!), icebox, salt n pepper and any food drink items that you preferTry borrowing the major items from friends if you can - you may get an idea of how it is and then decide if you want to do it more oftenWe loved itAnd finally good luck!
