Question:

does a 1990 mazda miata mx5 have an alarm system?

I have a 1990 mazda miata and i'm wondering if the car is equipped with alarm and/or keyless entry system would i call it or bothWhen my car was first bought by my brother in 2002 i thought i saw that it came with a keyless entry remote or something like that, but i don't think it ever workedAlso, currently inside the car right on the console box right in between the cup holder and the arm rest box there is a small obvious red bulb that usually shown in other cars that flashes or stays on until the car is unlocked with a remoteI just want to know if the car originally came with a keyless entry alarm systemAnd In my opinion, I think it is disconnected or disabledI don't have no clue at all.Any personal or professional experience or knowledge?.Thanks alot

Answer:

The 1990 Miata came in three modelsBase model - Manual steering, 14-inch steel wheels and no radio Package A - Power-assisted steering, leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum alloy wheels and cassette stereo with anti-theft coding Package B - A items plus cruise control, power windows and headrest speakers Your car has had some mods made to it- No keyless entry - No alarm system - No cup holder (I suspect your brother, or the previous owner, replaced the ashtray with a cup holder) - No red bulb in the arm rest.
Stainless steel is a steel with about 10% chromeThis chrome goes to the surface and shield the iron from rustingThere are many different SS grades.
