Sofa is chocolate brown leather, ottoman is a swirly/marble chestnut color. Both pieces have similar legs.
I personally like contrast. Matchy-matchy is boring. You say the legs are the same or similar. That should tie them together nicely! Use other accent pieces or sofa pillows to tie the two together. This will add interest without being predictable. It sounds very nice.
Yea. just throw some pillows with the color of your ottoman on your sofa and there you go.
Sounds good together. You know what would set it off, is making your walls in a faux suede illusions paint the same color as your ottoman. Then accenting your walls in The dark worn brass look. Maybe even curtains the same as your couch. Have fun.
It depends on how much lighter - you would want a contrast to set the ottoman off better. I would not go with a dark chocolate couch and a caramel ottoman, for example. Instead, opt for a butter yellow or a cream - it would be fabulous!
That sounds like it would work, but what color is the rest of the room? because that can change how things work together.
