for starters, if you want to cast one ounce weights, you should get a rod rated for one ounce weights. matching tackle includes ALL of it. rod, reel, line AND lure. if you are using too light of a rod, you WILL snap the tip at the first guide. it would not be fair to ask that the rod be replaced due to your own negligence or intentional mis-use. thus the ratings listed on the rod. and if these three rods are your choices, you may as well include an ugly stick light in your choices and pick it. none of these are what you would call truly high end rods. the mh rods will be slightly less sensitive due to the additional material in the rod. it appears you want to fish soft plastics with your rod, which l applaud your endeavor, but at the same time, you want it for tossing football jigs. you will have no need to go any heavier than 3/4 ounce on the jig. you should not find it necessary to go with much more than 1/4 ounce with your worms. you can see the extreme difference in weights you want to throw. you really, REALLY should have two rods. one rated 8 to 17 line and up to 3/8 of an ounce, then one rated 12 to 25lb line and weights up to one ounce. and these should both be 7 foot rods though 6', 6 or 6', 9 would work fine. the extra length will give a bit more distance, especially the jig rod. now, these are my personal opinions only and a lot of you may think they are BS. that's fine. but opinions are all you can get here anyway. better grades of graphite will give increased sensitivity but at a higher cost. look at the various grades of loomis rods.
