Does anyone have a Lasagna recipe for a 9x9 pan?

I have searched and searched but I only find ones for 9x13, I want it to have all the cheeses besides cottage cheese and the recipes I found for a 9x9 has a lot of short cuts.Any one have any ideas??

Answer:

ONION DIP Like Lipton onion dip but so much better 2 large yellow onions 4 tablespoons unsalted butter 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper (this is plenty DJ ;-) 1 teaspoon kosher salt 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper 4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature 1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 cup mayonnaise Cut the onions in half and then slice them into 1/8-inch thick half-rounds, and then a little smallerHeat the butter and oil in a large pan, I use my cast iron pan over medium heatAdd the onions, cayenne, salt, and pepper and saute for 10 minutesReduce the heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes or more until the onions are browned and caramelized, not burnedPatience is a must hereAllow the onions to cool completelyMix the cream cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise with hand mixer until smoothAdd the onions and mix well Serve at room temperature SHRIMP TOAST ? lb raw peeled de-veined shrimp 1 can water chestnuts 1 teas sherry 1 teas sugar 1 heaping Tab corn starch 1 ? teas salt ? teas msg (accent) 2 eggs Pulse together in food processor till just mixed and is a slightly lumpy pasteSpread onto slices of white store bought breadCut the bread into quartersFry in hot oil shrimp side down then turn over and fry till bread is brownedThe cooking takes no time so watch carefullyRemove from oil and drain on rack over paper towelsClean up food processor and any thing the shrimp paste is clinging to with cold water before washing in soapy hot water.
Well get a 9x13 pan or use cast iron I love using cast iron for this sort of thingIf you have a large cast iron skillet use itOr you could just make the 9x9 and use the left overs for something else for exampleheres an idea that will give you two different meals in one cooking which is nice in summerCook hamburger meat and chopped up italian sausage in a pan with garlic, onion, oregano, basil until done add red sauce and red wine, mushrooms, and simmer until thickenedbeat 2 eggs add a cup of Parmesan cheese a container or either ricotta or cottage cheese, and a cup or two of mozzarella cheeselayer your lasagna noodles in your pan spread cheese mixture over noodles then layer with sauce until the pan is filledcover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 for ab out 45 min to an hour until noodles are done then take out of oven take off foil add more cheese on top and bake another 5 min until cheese is meltedLet stand for 10 min cut and serveUse left over sauce and cheese for spaghetti later in the week or make another lasagna.
