Question:

Does anyone have info on SM Energys well in Johnsonville Illinois, like initial production?

or the findings of the exploration by Woolsey Energy in Crossville Illinois?

Answer:

such information while reported to the state, is considered proprietary and not disclosed to the public by the state engineer. sometimes information is shared to the community when it is mutually beneficial to the driller. one example would be electric well logs are often made available privately through industry sharing organizations like Petroleum Information. if it is available, PI can sell you a copy of the electric log, and if you are experienced in reading them, or hire a geologist to interpret it, you can get a lot of useful information from it. If the oil is on public mineral rights, you can get production reported for royalty payment purposes using a freedom of information disclosure, it won't tell you things like initial flow rates and formation pressure, but it will be an accounting of total oil extracted. data will be available a year or two after commercial production commences.
