Question:

DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY GOOD VACUUM CLEANER FOR LESS THaN $100?

I just moved into my first apartment and there is rug all throughout the house, I don't really know much about vacuum cleaners, but I need to get one, I want a good one but for less than $100, can someone please help me!!!

Answer:

i would buy a bissel that uses bags. I'm in the cleaning business and I've tried just about every vacuum there is out there. i just purchased a Dyson and its great but very expensive. but the bissel that uses bags is better than the one that is bag-less. you don't get as much suctions. i use my bissel when cleaning a repo home because it sucks up allot and the beaters work better, especially if there is cat or dog hair or allot of dust and trash. this machine is normally around $35.00 to $49.00, depending where you purchase it. its just as efficient as others and does cost a lot less.
Be sure to get one with a beater bar for best cleaning. Check at a local independent vacuum dealer. Often they take in trade-ins on new ones. Otherwise, try Craig's list or your penny-saver local weekly paper. Last time I checked consumer reports, they liked the Eurekas. I also have some Power-Flite equipment for my business and they regularly run commercial uprights (like for hotels and restaurants) for $129.
Make sure that it is a 12AMP. Don't buy anything smaller! Also, I prefer the bagless, costs less to use it in the long run! Go to an Appliance Repair shop, they have all kinds of Reconditioned(rebuilt) vacuums, and most of those have the same warranty as a new one!!!
I would not recommend a Dirt Devil. I bought one and it is forever plugging up. The least little fuzz ball will start the plug and then it gets worse as you use it. It needs to be taken apart every few weeks, all cleaned, then put back together--total pain. I have had good luck with Hoovers over the years (had lots of rental properties then and they sure got a work out cleaning between renters). My all time favorite you would have to scour the 2nd hand stores for. It is the old Kenmore cannister (they came in blue and avocado green). They had a power head that was awesome and had a separate motor. The main motor could suck the hair off a cat (just kidding, it probably could, but I never tried it). I just found one the other day for $10.00 so I am doing the happy dance.
some at this web page .. .I am sure there are others out there just Google: VACUUM CLEANER FOR LESS THaN $100
