Can Polycarbonate from CD can be recycled to be polycarbonate that can be used on packaging especially for gallon?

You really don't want your house to be too air tight, because if it doesn't breathe a little, it will create moisture and you will end up with moldYou have house wrap on the outside, so that's goodYou could have put dow board or celotex on the outside before wrapping it to give some more insulation from the outsideSo if your walls are still bare, and you feel you want to add more insulation without really over doing it, you can run furring across your studs, and place dow board between the furringThe Dow board comes in 2 X 8 Sheets! Just remember, if you have pipes coming through your floor for heating, you will be changing the thickness of the wall and affecting that, so you may be causing another project to move that stuffIf the insulation that you used between your studs on the exterior doesn't have a vapor barrier, I would create a vapor barrier by covering the exterior wall with plasticThis will be a barrier and also seal any possible draftsInterior walls that you insulate should be unfaced or without a vapor barrierThat insulation is more for soundDuct Tape your seams on your house wrap before Siding your house to seal any drafts thereYou can also buy siding that has styrofoam backing for extra insulationI would concentrate on insulating your attic floor more than anything, because cold drops, and if your attic is cold, and your floor isn't insulated, you will feel it no matter what you do to your walls!

Reading all the answers I am astound by what people sayYou can NOT put R19 in 2x4 walls compressed insulation isn't worth a thing since the whole idea of fiberglass insulation is the small pockets that are created from the tiny fibers and when you compress it you loose it allthe highest R value you can achieve with fiberglass insulation in a 2x4 wall is R15 its more expensive then R13 or even R19 but its the best you can do in this wallAnd use Kraft insulation so you have a vapor barrier tooYou can add 1 foam board from the outside before you install the sidinghowever make sure you use tg boards and tape the seams this will get you an additional 3.4 R value and a great Air sealAnd windows that someone mentioned if you want to change your windows sure go ahead and make sure you put in high U value double or triple pane glass but if you dont HAVE to its the worth investment you can do in behalf of energy savings Good luck I am sure your house will look greatENJOY
True, polycarbonate based on Bisphenol A is used in both CDs and packagingHowever, CDs have a reflective layer, usually made of aluminum, vapor deposited on one side to make them readable by laserYou will need to get rid of this metal somehow before reusing the polycarbonate as a packaging materialI don't see how it can be done, myself.
