I came across their website, they say it will not only help with the environment but also add gas milage to your current vehicle. (some by 22%+) Is this worth investing in? It doesn‘t seem to cost much. If you have any info, let me know what your experience has been with Ethos. :)
Yes, use a fuel injector cleaner every so often. Keeps the injectors clean. Don't over do it, follow the label. Check for other reasons for the drop in mileage, most notably tire pressure. I bought a new truck and was dismayed at the mileage I was getting. I checked the air pressure in the tires and was suprised at how underinflated they were. It did not look like they were low at a glance. After adding about 15 pounds to each tire to the recommended amount, my mileage went from 16 mpg to 21 mpg.
If you just replaced pads/shoes, you shouldn't have to bleed them. You probably need someone experienced to look over you work and figure what's wrong.
hear to the guy that advised you to screw the piston in. turn in a clockwise direction. many cases, you may get via with utilising a pair of needle nosed pliers. Take the needle nostril and placed them in the two notches, and press firmly and turn clockwise on the comparable time. in case you utilize a C clamp, you will finally end up paying for a clean caliper.
Don't forget that the fuel pump is located in the gas tank.some additives can shorten its life. Fuel injection cleaners have been known to do this.so they limit how concentrated they can be so that the company won't be buying new fuel pumps and gas tanks for everyone. Try a Motorvac (brand) engine decarbonizer treatment at a local shop that has oneremoving carbon from the engine always increases gas milage on vehicles with over 80,000 miles on them. Basically, the treatment bypasses the gas tank and fuel pump, and is pumped from a separate tank directly into the fuel rail so that the concentration can be high enough to do some good without damaging the fuel system. As for the miracle additiveMTBE works, but is quite murderous to the water table.leaded fuel burns great, but can be rather nasty, too. lol. Other additives simply add more alcohol to the gas mix to boost the octane rating, but lower the power density in doing so, and alcohol attracts water, which is bad for the fuel pump. Get the idea?
