Question:

Does anyone know what is going to replace the high in Phenom II and low end athon II?

Also what is this atoms and fusion thing AMD is to be working on.And why do some people say this fusion is confusing ?Is this Bulldozer thing going be fusion that replace the high in Phenom II ?

Answer:

Bulldozer cpu's have been available since last year, but have largely failed to compete with Intel i3, i5 i7. Enhanced Bulldozer cpu's should be available this year, not sure if they're out yet, and yet another generation of Bulldozer cpu's, codenamed 'piledriver' will follow. The Fusion is an apu aimed at providing good performance with low power consumption, and integrating a CPU and a GPU based on a mobile stand-alone GPU. There are two different types of the Fusion chip currently available, one with its CPU logic based on the Bobcat core and the other its CPU logic based on the Bulldozer.
The FX replaces the Athlon/Phenom if you have an AM3+ socket/chip set. Atom is a laptop/net book processor Fusion is graphics coupled with a CPU...there APU.. as in the FM1 boards for the A cpus to some extent fusion is confusing as its not on all versions of APUs/CPUs Yes the talk is that the FX cpus will get fusion and be like the APUs. there are plans for the FM2 mother boards for that.
FX is AMD maximum recent CPU layout. without the embedded GPU.. greater end CPUs A-sequence { highend}and E-sequence{lowend} (the two CPUs are categorised imaginative and prescient) CPUs have an embedded GPU on the CPU chip.
