Sounds like a myth. The only way i've ever heard of to cure mange is to have the vet diagnose it (there are two kinds and it's only able to be seen under a microscope) and prescribe the proper kind of medication for it.

No copper does not cure skin conditions. What type of 'mange' does your pet have? Was it diagnosed by skin scraping and looked at by a professional? Otherwise you don't really know what kind of skin condition your pet has. It could be ringworm, or mange or flea allergy...Take him/her to a vet. Get a proper diagnosis and begin treatment. Add: There is some research into using Cu implants in sheep/goat rumens to control Haemonchus contortus (which is a hard to kill (resistant) worm of small ruminants). I know sheep are sensitive to Cu, so I'm not sure how they regulate the amount. This research is ongoing and doesn't look promising.
