Question:

Does it really matter what school you go to for Real Estate?

I was first thinking agent but it seems rather easy and so I'd like to do broker classes as well..and in my area I'm looking online for certifications. Also, what generally consists of a normal day in Real Estate?

Answer:

Not really, as long as you pass the state test. And you will be required to work as an agent for usually two years before you can apply to be a broker, so taking the broker classes will not apply to you. Check your state's website for their requirements. There is no normal day in real estate - they are all different. Please understand that this is your own business and you will only be successful if you work both very hard and very smart. Have plenty of savings and/or a significant other with a good income. Most people do not make it through their first two years of real estate.
The real estate school you attend must be on the approve and on the authorized list of your state. Some real estate classes are offered on line. You would have to find a state approved real estate school that offer online classes. In most states you are required to have and hold a real estate sales license for a minimum of 2 years before you are are eligible to take the real estate brokers test. In some states this requirement might be waived if you graduated from a 4 years accredited college. You would have to check the requirements of your state to find out if you are currently eligible to take the real estate brokers test. There is no normal day or activity that a real estate agent would do. They would set appointments, visit potential clients, make telephone calls for follow-up or do what is considered cold calling for listings. Normally most real estate agents would have a marketing plan and would follow this marketing plan each day to be successful. Each agent would not do the same thing each day. I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck. FIGHT ON
All that matters in regards to tjhe school is that it is approved fby your state. You can go to your state website get a list of approved schools. There are many online schools. An average day would be alot of driving, computrer work, contracts, meeting clients - things like that.
When it comes to real estate school it is best to attend a school with experience in the industry. Gold Coast Schools has been providing real estate education for over 30 years. All of the Gold Coast Schools physical locations are in south Florida but there are online course options. More information on courses can be found in the link below. I hope this helps :)
1. You need to choose a schools that is approved by your state real estate board. 2. You aren't eligible to take the broker exam until you have worked in the industry as a licensed agent for 2 years. It is a sort of apprenticeship. 3. A typical; day for a new agent is doing everything possible to find a client. Unlike other sales jobs where you always have something to sell to others, when your are real estate agent you have to sell yourself in order to get a product to sell, making it twice as difficult to succeed. Finding clientele can be very difficult for many and various methods are used including networking, self promotion/marketing, cold calling whether on the phone or knocking on doors, referrals from past clients or possibly others in the business. If you can't stand people saying no to you on a daily basis, you need to find something else to do. You are correct, getting licensed is the easy part, but once licensed you are only legally qualified for the job, and most still don't know squat about the business. Learning the biz takes some time too and that is assuming there is someone around willing to teach you. If you are good at it, you can make a ton of money, but if not you don't make anything.
