Question:

Does light transmit heat?

if there is more light, does it mean the area is hotter?

Answer:

Light is energy and light that is absorbed is converted to heat. So if you have more light, the area that is absorbing that light gets hotter.
that would depend on what type of light
This depends on the color of the glass (clear, dark green, etc) and the thickness. If you don't believe me, look through a window, and then try to look through an empty wine bottle.....
