Does PCB Etchant work on aluminum? If not, what kind does?
Pick thru the crab for shells(I guarantee, you WILL find at least one!) Gently toss together bread crumbs, SP, a bit of melted butter, a bit of lemon juice (+ lemon zest if you have a fresh lemon), maybe a dash of Old Bay seasonoing.THEN gently toss in your crabTHEN stuff the flounder.
The cavity in a flounder is awfully small unless it is a huge flounderThe ones I get are about 1/2lbI normally use a wedge of lemonSure if you have room, go for it, the two go well together.
Sure you canLumb crab would be the best choice of the canned crabmeatDrain it and be gentle with the Lump crab because it can all fall apart and you won't have nice chunksYou need a bit of a binder to moisten it and keep it togetherYou can use a little bit of mayo, maybe a pinchnof breadcrumbs and add a squeeze of lemon juice, salt and pepperYou an also add a few tablespoons of finely chopped red peppers and onions, fresh or dried parsley and a touch of dill.
This was one of my signature dishes a few years ago(Flounder Del Ray) take 1lb crab meat, 2 cups sour cream, 2tbs minced garlic, 1 bushel of fresh minced parsley, and 2 shallots finely diced with 1 eggCombine all ingredients once together add Panko to firm the crab mixtureThen stuff flounder.
It would be a big mistake to use an aluminum foil pan to hold ferric chloride etchantThe ferric chloride will eat through the foil in short order, especially if hotThank goodness I had a glass tray under the foil as a secondary containment vessel.
