So they put cement/glue so tha thte bracket would stay rightBut would it come off?Because there's cement/glue on one of my teeth that's not for the bracket and I cant seem to get it offSo I was wondering o.o;; when you get chur braces off whadd happens to the glue/cement?
The orthodontist has special tools that get the glue off.
They take it off with some thing that makes a drilly noise ;) I've never seen how it works because I was the one getting the glue taken offf. It doesn't hurt though. And it comes off easily. Good luck with your braces by the way :)
Don't panic :) I had my braces off when I was about 10 and I regret panicking. They just get this clamp thingy and they come off easy. It doesn't hurt and it doesn't take long to get them off. It takes a while to scrape the cement off afterwards, but it is worth it. Your teeth will feel so smooth and really nice once you've had them out, and they polish them so they'll be really white too :)
The cement used is very strong. It may come off the areas your are talking about in time, but it may last as long as you have the braces on your teeth. A special dental bur is used to take off the glue, it removes the cement but does not cut into your natural tooth structure. If it is really bothering you, you could ask your orthodontist to try to remove some of that excess the next time you go in for an appointment.
