Question:

Does the smoke detector save lives? ?

Does the smoke detector save lives? ?

Answer:

yep and all the 3 things pointed above make up the control arms basically (busings+arms+ball joints are all incorporated). if the car has close to 100k miles and the ctrl arms were never changed then it's time to do that , they could still go bad before hand too. lubing the swaybar busings would also be a good idea , but i never heard them squeak. btw take it to a good ero shop near you or you'll get raped ($wise) by the dealer. actrl arm kit is around $350-400 and installation around $300. re-lubing the ctrl arm busings - 15 min (easily done with the next oil change)
yea because it sucks you should buy an Audi A4
Could be that it needs a grease job, but maybe there are no grease fittings which is so common with most cars nowadays. In any case, it sounds like the suspension needs lubrication.
lmao yeah at school. the teachers lab experiment went wrong and she flipped out cuz the ceiling was on fire. so she starts running around and i just grabbed the thing and hoped for the best.
All audis since the late 90's have a complex arrangement of arms and balljoints in the steering and front suspension. I had a similar problem with noises and my Audi dealer advised me that I would have to replace most of the control arms as they were not servicable. There was no play on them, the balljoints were just dry. I spoke to one of the Audi mechanics who advised me to go to a private mechanic and ask him to insert grease nipples in each joint and grease them up. He also told me that they grease them up on services if a customer has done this modification. I extended the life of those joints many times over for a fraction of the cost of one control arm, let alone all of them.
