Question:

Does the wiimote plus use the same battery packs as regular wiimotes?

Hello, I just recently bought a dual docking station with 2 battery packs for my regular wiimote and now I want to buy a wiimote plus (built in motion plus) but since the wiimote + is longer and I've never seen one in person I don't know if my regular docking station and battery packs will work and fit the wiimote+ or will I need to buy special battery packs and docking station for it? Thanks alot for answering!

Answer:

Usually they do, although WiiMote Plus does have more height. Check the docking station or just buy one and try it out - if it doesn't work, return the remote (be sure to hang onto the box, instructions and reciept).
the wii remote and the Wii remote plus are the same size. the only reason the wii remote plus is ever longer is because to make the senor work better ( the pluse part) you need to attach a large block to the end of the normal remote. the remote with it built in is the same size.
Since Wiimote Pluses UTILIZE THE SAME DIMENSIONS as the original Wiimote, the battery packs should work with minimal issues. The only time a Wiimote is longer is when you have the Wii Motion Plus add-on installed to an older Wiimote, which can be removed to fit with the docking station. As Wiimote Pluses have Wii Motion Plus built-in, it doesn't need to be any longer than the original Wiimote. Hope this clear things up!
