There is one unpaired electron in an aluminum atomIs this true or false? I have written out the electron configuration for Al1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p1I also made an orbital diagram; however, i am not sure it is correctAccording to my diagram, there are 5 unpaired electrons, but I want to make sure my diagram is rightThanks for your help!
Aluminum has 1 lone electron in the 3p orbitalIt often forms the Al 3+ ion since it looses its 3p1 and 3s2 electrons.
Yeh im pretty sure you can do that :)
