When a contractor is building a subdivision, it is easier to bring in a bulldozer and clear the tract of land completely. After the homes are built, new trees are planter. What are four disadvantages, and 4 disadvantages of this approach?
Disadvantage 1)Soil erosion and eutrophication(Fertilizers may be washed into the rivers/lakes) 2)Soil fertility will decrease as a high percentage of good Quality soil is wasted 3)Dying tree's will release a lot of Carbon dioxide in the environment 4)The bulldozer will damage and wasted the wood to be of any real use Advantage 1)Tree's will be cleared quickly and easily 2)It is cheaper than moving the tree's to plant them later 3)The contracter can plant tree's of any kind he likes and those that will look good with the building 4)City planning will be easier (sewage,road way,etc)
