yes you can ,the material is fiberglass and if you read on any package of it ,it says to wear a mask.This is I'm sure already in your air system plus continouly pulling more from your attic into the system.This has to be corrected right away
put some duct tape on it, you dont want to breath in fiberglass it can kill you
