Question:

Filler for sculpture? (mold making)?

I plan to make a sculpture, with the original being made of modeling clay, does it matter what the prototype is made of on the inside? I want to use foil and wire to build up the form, then cover it with the modeling clay, will this work?

Answer:

Mediterranean Roasted Potatoes preheat oven to 425 F,get 2lbs of new/red potatoes, peel cut into bite-sized chunks, in a large bowl coat with olive oil, roast them in a 13 x 9 in baking dish, season w/ some garlic powder, bake uncovered for 35 minutessqueeze a fresh lemon over the potatoes, top with fresh chopped cilantro and serve.
This recipe is from someones old Sicilian grandmaQuarter red skinned potatoes, add x virg olive oil, sea salt, fresh cracked pepper, fresh chopped rosemary, finely crushed garlic and the juice of 1 lemonToss the taters in these ingedients and roast at 350 degreess for 45 minutes or until golden brown.Note:It might take longer than 45 min.
preheat oven to 450 use 1.5 russet[ Idaho] potatoes per person- peeled cut in 1/2 lenghtwise lay each 1/2 flat and cut in 1/2 lengthwise again ,you will have something that looks like two large pickle spears lying side by sideWith the potato 1/2 still lying flat, make two equally spaced cuts across the mid-line so you wind up with six equal sized pieces Repeat as needed Rinse and dry on paper towels and place in a large bowl add enough olive oil to coat , paprika , salt pepper and whatever spices you likecoat thoroughly using either your hands or a utensil -hands are easier and do less damage to the foodSpread out in a SINGLE layer in a baking dish cook for 20 minutes at 450 and then reduce your heat to 400 checking every 5 minutes thereafter whilst turning as needed
It sounds like a plan The aluminum foil and wire make a good armature for the modeling clay I assume you are using a non hardening clay You could even use polymer clay if you want a more permanent model If you are using Amaco Modeling clay don't use the armature What Amaco calls modeling clay is an air dry clay that will shrink and have problems with the armature
