use another paper. the one around 80-230gsm. or bring ur printer to service center.
Check with Hurst shifters on line. The old ones were spring loaded to pop in gear once you initiated the shift plus were a short throw shifter. Otherwise a normal H pattern, so just locate reverse and you should be set.
