fog machine vs smoke detector?

can fog machines set off smoke detectors (i know it doesn't actually use smoke, but can it set it off)?p.s. this is an idea for a college dorm kitchen and to put in some lighting effects for our small partiesalso would this

Replace the batteries in the smoke alarms, even though they are electric, they have batteries, and if one goes bad then they will set off. LLC Home Builder
Try putting your drapes in the dryers on the no heat setting for a few minutes, this will remove lots of cats hair. And, consider getting a Dyson Animal vac. It has a powerful attachment just for pet hair and does a great job. good luck! P.S. No caps please, that's shoutingthanks
I like Icon. I just bought some Twenty-niners they are red as they can possibly be- to go with my yellow bike. I got them from the Yamaha dealer.
Mine does the same thing. The room my alarm is in can be up to 10 degrees cooler than the rooms ajoining. I'm suspecting the fire alarm is detecting changes in temperature rather than smoke. The original poster probably has her alarm direct wired to the household current and is turning off the breaker to the alarm and the laundry room.
