Freezing meat directly in water?

Freezing something in water is a good way to keep freezer burn off itI'd worry most about the water diluting the taste of the meatI know I've had luck with doing this with fish, so I guess it would be okAluminum foil has worked well for me and meat can be frozen for several months this wayA vacuum bag sealer would also be a wise investment if you are willing to put the money into it.
