Answer:

i say get another truck like the 01 tacoma v6 prerunner. they are better on gas. other then that just check your air filter and you can save a little bit of gas by using less electronics in your vehicle.
There are no magic accessories or additives that will give a noticeable increase in mileage It might simply be that you drive in heavy traffic. Idling at a stop sign you get zero MPG so if you drive in traffic 12 MPG might be as good as it gets. Keep your car properly tuned, keep the correct air pressure in your tires, don't haul around useless junk. Most people can however increase their mileage about 25% or more by driving properly. Don't drive too fast. Most cars get their best mileage at about 60 mph; going much faster than that dramatically reduces mileage. Avoid hard acceleration and hard stops. Get in the habit of taking your foot off the gas and coasting up to slower or stopped traffic.
Change your spark plugs, spark plug wires (unless your vehicle uses COPs), fuel filter, air filter, oxygen sensors, and be sure to keep up on routine maintenance like your life depends on it. You could also try using a fuel system cleaner every few fill-ups, but most don't seem to work and SeaFoam would be a better bet, but I wouldn't recommend using it unless you know your car very well. It's going to cost you more than $100 but it will help your fuel economy. And if you're not willing to spend the money to help your vehicle run better, you might as well get used to getting less and less MPG.
