Question:

Fuel cells. Why do people use hydrogen and not solid aluminum for fuel cells.?

Aluminum has no hazards, does not need to be compressed(extra energy), and is a great capacitor of energy.

Answer:

It takes a lot of energy to extract and purify aluminium, which makes it quite expensive. Hydrogen does not produce waste and does not pollute. It is the most abundant element.
Hi. Actually there are hazards. The end product, aluminum oxide, is a harsh abrasive and is not easy to dispose of whereas the H/O fuel cell produces only water.
because hydrogen is generated from water, which is very abundant. there is enough energy in hyrodgen in water, that a car can travel about 50 miles on about 4 ounces of water, and emit no known pollutants.
yep, Al can be toxic to humans and envoirnment
