If it looks so bad it needs painted, then that means it is old enough to need replaced. When I started Jr. High, there was this little boy (short) who used to always pick on me, playing with my hair, etc. I got so fed up with him I told my big sis (who was a Sr) and she took this kid and shoved him in a locker. He fit! She slammed the door in his face. He NEVER bothered me after that.
