I PCS in a 45 days. I have to send my wife's passport to Germany and get it Stamped before she is allowed to enter the country. I'm in Korea. Has anyone had experience with getting this stamp before? How long does it take? I'm going to FedEX it with fastest priority, and hope they mail it back to me within a month.
As long as she's command sponsored, on your orders, 45 days should be enough time. Do you have a sponsor in Germany yet? If so, I'd ask my sponsor to keep track of the SOFA Stamp request. If you don't have a sponsor write your Senior Enlisted Advisor (or whatever your branch calls it... CSM?) and ask for assistance keeping track of it. Good communications is the key. Make sure your new command knows how to contact you at all times so that if there's a snag they can let you know what's going on.
