well my name is carved into the cement driveway next to my house. if my parents see that i'll be in BIG trouble. so does anyone know how to like remove writing out of the cement driveway? please anyone help. 10 points for the most helpful answer.
Trying to fill it really will not work. Cement will not stick in there in such small quantities and any kind of filler will be a different color. Depending on how deep it is, I would try a needle gun. These remove a layer of the cement so lowering the surrounding area to the same level of your foolish etching. You can rent these as I expect you don't want to buy one.
Pouring cement into it would probably do or just tell your parents and promise them not to do it again.
mix a solution of sand , Portland cement and latex bonding agent ...this will be like white glue( i have used titebond waterproof ,you can get this at Lowe's)...The final mix will look like dark cement..pour this into you name and squeegee it off ...use a broom or whisk broom to add some texture to the mix when partially dry. It will bond to the existing concrete driveway and set up over night...if the mix is not thick enough or too creamy add more sand and dampen the hole where your name is etched......This Will Work.....From the E...
Pouring cement into the grooves won't help. You may have to dig it up and put in new cement. Even caulk, which will fill the grooves, won't match the color, and it will still be visible. But I'd try that first. Get some cement caulk from a hardware store. At least you can tell your parents you tried. maybe put a lot of dirt over it, they may not notice if for a while. .
