Question:

Getting rid of iron shine on a black coat?

Just ironed my favorite black coat and it left a slight shine on it. The coat is made of 97% cotton and 3% polyester and the fabric has a shiny texture. Would washing the coat again get rid of the iron shine?

Answer:

Maybe. Depends on how deep the burns are. You'll know after you wash it
If you ring a cloth out in vinegar place it on the shine then hold a steam iron over the cloth , don't iron it then wipe the cloth against the nap it will remove the shine
It probably will. Next time, try using a pressing cloth under the iron(which is merely a piece of cloth made of 100% cotton; a piece of an old shirt will do just fine), if you can't iron the coat inside out.
