give reason - Steel pipe connected to copper plumbing corrodes?

Answer:

If you ask corrodes because of the 2 elements, I don't think so. One reason is that in nuclear reactors some copper plumbing have steel flanges. The problem is welding both metals, because of the difference of melting temperatures of both. But it is not the same case as lead and iron or steel, where one acts as a cathode and the other as anode, in salt water applications.
