First, verify that your new batteries are fully charged (a voltmeter is really handy for this). Otherwise, there could just be a fault in the unit itself that it's self-detecting (the number of beeps might indicate a specific problem). In this case, the detector will have to be replaced. If this is your own home, go buy a new one. If you're renting, contact your landlord/manager. In the mean time, take out the battery or you'll go crazy from the beeping.
House of Blues in NO rocks! Most concert venues don't allow you to take video of the show. Certainly you can take photos though. You may be able to get away with using a small digital camera or phone with video capability, just don't get caught. You may be shown the door, and that would really be a bummer for you. As for meet greets, the place is small. Small enough that it was very easy for me to work my way to front and center of the stage for an entire concert. Very intimate setting for a concert. Have you paid extra for a meet greet package? If not, good luck. You may be able to catch the band after the show, as some of the acts will often enjoy the French Quarter after a performance. Enjoy!
