Haunted Houses & Real Estate Question?

Is it a law for a real estate agent to tell a consumer about abnormal activity (whether it's witnessed themselves or by the previous owners) within the house? If so, is it the same law or code throughout the U.S. or does it only apply to certain states?

Answer:

The answer is that no, there is no uniform law on this throughout the United States, it is a matter determined by state law. And those state laws vary from requiring disclosure of this information to specifically stating that sellers and realtors are not required to disclose such information. You will have to consult your state's laws and/or someone familiar with them to be sure (or those of the state in question if you're interested in a property in another state).
Nope, they don't have to tell you about any abnormal activity. Someone could have been shot in the living room and they do not to disclose this to you.
Most states have laws that mandate disclosing known physical defects in a property. Check out the URL attached, it should answer your question.
Real Estate agent has obligation to disclose everything they know about the house. If the owner never told the agent, then, the agent is not obligted to investigate. It applies to everything even for water leak, etc. If everybody denies knowing about it, then, the buyer is stuck with it.
