polymer resin (fiberglass), will heat up and crack , because it's characteristics are oil based (plastic) they usually can take some heat , but it will dry up and crack. and needs a housing around any heat sources , to stop this , you will need some 1/2mm plate to cover the holes , either pop riviting the baffler , and welding the exaust , or covering holes with plate , pop riviting , and welding
