I recently bought a 2.5 gallon plastic tank. I wanted to add an electric heater, but the lady at the store said it might melt the plastic... I don't understand how it could get so hot that it would melt the plastic.. I only wanted the heater to stabilize the temperature so it doesn't get too cold for my betta at night. Please help! Thanks,CJ
your betta should be MUCH happier in a 5 gallon tank... your betta can survive without a heater
luver of Fish'' was right your Betta does not need a heater.Anyway the tank will melt because the heater bulb might touch the plastic glass and melt.Betta are tough fish.
