BTW I'm talking about braces. Well today after school, I went to burger king. I bought a Whopper Jr. As I was eating it, i heard something pop but i guess it was nuthin. So i kept eating. When i got home, i noticed i didnt have a bracket in one of my molars. I could still see the wire but its not covered by the bracket that fell. I guess the bracket fell off and i ate it. Im just guessing why the bracket broke off with the Whopper Jr because earlier at school, i ate a burger that was a bit harder (chicken patty). So should i wait till my next appointment thats in 3 weeks or should i call my ortho? Oh and i got my braces about 2 weeks ago and this is the first time i broke a bracket. Will they charge me? If so, how much? Oh and medicaid covered my braces. How much do they charge if you DIDNT have medicaid? thanx!
Go to the orthodontist ASAP. This small problem could perhaps make a long term problem such as having braces on a bit longer. I have never broken a bracket but have made one loose. When I did, they didn't charge me extra at all (maybe that's why the take so much money). Anyway, all orthodontists are different so just go and get it fixed. Hope this helped! Good luck! I have braces to. About 3 weeks ago I lost a bracket to. I didn't think anything about it so I didn't do anything. My tooth didn't move when all my other ones did. It hurts when they put the bracket back on. Majorly. You should probably call. My tooth is now straight. Thats how fast they move. -Graciee
I'm getting braces and they went over it with me, if I remember correctly they told me the first time it happens they wont charge. However if it happens often they will have to charge and the price wont want to make Your parents smileSo most likely no they will not charge.
