Help!!!!need help with sons clothing!!!! any cloth smart parents?

i bought my son a blazer today at a consignment place and it is really cute and really looks good on him when i tried it on him, but i am not sure whether to take it to the cleaners or what. the lining is 100% polyester and the shell is 100% cotton. is this something i can hand wash in wool lite or do the cleaners need to handle it?

Answer:

Yep. Fire hazzard. and jessi, could you email me about my Question: But like, if a dog nipped sum1, would they check 2 c if he is aggressive? and they dont test him AT ALL? Just leave him in a cage? please enable your email because i need answers (: ty
The polyester won't shrink but it's possible that the cotton could; you'd want to be careful to use only cold water (shrunk outer fabric + unshrunk lining mess), and you'll probably end up doing a lot of work with an iron. I would go ahead and risk hand-washing for it, though.
Hand or machine wash in gentle. Hang dry. Or tumble dry on low for about 20 minutes, hang to dry the rest of the way. Steam or iron for wrinkles.
Id just hand wash it and let air dry. my rule of thumb; anytime you're unsure (and it DOESNT say Dryclean only), then gently hand wash it with woolite/mild detergent and hang to dry, or lay out to air dry on a rack, etc. Always works out )
