Help needed for removing scratches from aluminum?

Hey guys, I need some help removing scratches from bare aluminumI removed the stock paint using 80 and 120 grit sandpaper, but now it's full of scratchesWhat should I use to get it off? Thanks alot!

Answer:

Unless you can power buff , the best you can do by hand is maybe a fine satin finishFirst try to get scratches down using the finest wet/ dry paper Avoid abrasive paper after thatCould rub w/ very fine steel wool Not too big a piece might use a buffing wheel on a fast drill or bench grinder using auto polishing compound or metal polishPink first (coarse) then white (fine) which are close to metal buffing rouges There are fine grained aluminum polishes availableMarine supply stores have some good metal polishes protectantsBest regards
