A freight train with 80 cars transports coal and iron ore. Eachcar carries either 100 tons of coal or 90 tons of iron ore.a. Let c represent the number of cars carrying coal. Write and simplifyan expression in terms of c for the total weight of the freighttransported by the train.b. Suppose 28 of the train’s cars carry coal. What is the total weight ofall the freight?can you tell how you did this problem cause im really confused, and your supposed to simplify it, like you would simplify variables.

I did this problem yesterday! here, 80 cars, right? 80-c (the amount of cars that carry coal) and thats how many cars care iron ore. so its 80-c(100) because 100 tons of coal can be carried in each car + the weight of the iron ore cars. For b, 28(100) equals the weight for the coal cars +52(how heavy the iron is) Let me guess, you're in Algebra 1, i really understand this stuff, and can help people with it
