Is there any way to melt plastic without it burning? I want to mold some into something
Yes, some plastics can be melted, but this is often difficult because the melting point of the plastic is very near its burning temperature. Household heating say a saucepan has hot and not so hot surfaces so reaching the ideal temperature is nearly impossible. You could try making a double boiler with oil as the heat transfer media.
