Help with this physics question about static electricity?

Sadie is ironing some polyester shirts. When she has finished she switches off the iron at the wall socket and receives a small electric shock, which tickles her finger. Explain why.

Answer:

Rubbing the iron on the cloth charged the cloth as well as the iron electrostatically. This was conducted to ground while the iron was still plugged in. As soon as this ground connection was removed by unplugging, she received the scock.
