Alright look I know intel is obviously better than AMD but I want to know are all those articles bashing the cpu paid by intel or are they really honest I look at people who own them and say that its just that intel fanboys bash it just because its a cheaper price so someone please explain is the cpu good or is it a bad buy I have 2 more days until my paycheck for my video editing pc and gaming pc so which cpu is best intel i7 2600k or the fx 8150 leave some details about why you chose that cpu
AMD FX was a good try, but it has serious problems with power consumption. At the same Ghz speed, Intel i-series run faster and cooler too. Toms hardware is currently recommending Intel, with the FX-4100 as an honorable mention. You need to check benchmarks of your movie editing software. Maybe a i5 K is a better choice than the i7. I also think you should wait a bit longer, the new Intel Ivy bridge CPUs will arrive in June or so.
The reviews on Newegg states the same thing, the 8120 and the 8150 are actually business class CPU's, they will not game as well as the intel i5 series processors... But they will do multi threaded applications very well... Saying that Windows 8 is supposed to actually help the Bulldozer processors with multithreading tasks... The thing is, I would bet Windows8 is actually going to help the i7 processors as well multithread, even better... There were also some reviews that stated that AMD actually rushed the 8xxx series processors to market and locked some of the Bulldozers potential... Personally I would just stick with the i7, or at least go for a 2500k for the same money as a bulldozer...
8150 is still good but the 2600k is still better you might be able to get away with an i5 2500k
