Hid head lights question ?

I drive a slammed 1999 civic so my lights are basically on the ground I have the oem head lights and the basic light bulbs. If I got a hid kit which one would be best? 6000k 8000, 10000, ect?

Answer:

depends on the color you want 6k is bright white 8k is white with blue 10k is blue
8000K would be good enough. Here's how the color temperatures go: Colour Temp (K) Colour Description: 3000k Yellow light (suitable for fog lights) 4300k White light with tinges of yellow. 5000K: PURE WHITE LIGHT. 6000K: White light with tinges of blue 8000K: Distinct blue color light 10000K: Bluish-green light 12000K: Bluish-purplish light
there are some discounted hid light now on VVME webshop. you had better go to get one this time . good luck to you .
Definitely 6,000K, 4,300K would be even better (that's OEM grade, sunlight-white color and provides the highest light output - the higher the K's, the lower the light output). 6,000K is just beginning to have a bluish note. Color temperatures (K) above that are no good. Besides, bluish light causes eye fatigue and is no good under poor visibility conditions (snow, sleet, fog...). If your headlamp covers (lenses) are opaque, yellowish and similar, have them polished - that may greatly improve the situation. Check also the reflector (mirror) surface conditions. If they are bad, the best policy is to replace both headlamps.
If you have to choose from one of those, I'd go with 6000K. If there's something around 5000K, that'll be plenty blu-ish for you to stand out from the crowd. 10000K is for dummies, as they will look pink and make it very hard for you to see and drive at night. Does nothing but draws attention from the law enforcement. 8000K is a very nice blue, but again, it's hard to see at night. For all practical purposes, 6000K or lower (preferred) is good.
