Hi I have a WEIL-MCLAIN CG SERIES 11 GAS FIRED BOILER. With baseboard heat. One thermostat for apx. 700'. Had 3 of the vents not working. I bleed them with a screw driver and did get one of them to work. Now it seems it's overheating to between 180 200 degree's. Needle show it should be about 140 degrees. Pressure is between 12 20 pounds. Any suggestion on what to try next???Thanks.
Hello, If you have baseboard heating then your boiler should be operating between 180 and 200 degrees. Venting the baseboards is a good start but it sounds like you still have air in the zone. The system should be purged at the boiler through a purge set-up, (ball valve and boiler drain combo), Each zone should have one. I have books on Amazon specifically for hot water heating systems, if you need some info on purging the system. They can be found if you search my name, Robert VanNorden on Amazon; all under 7 bucks. No links I don't want to get tossed off of this forum. If you can't afford that; e-mail me any more questions you have and I'll try to help. No one should be cold. Good luck. Rob
